History of the firm AQUAEL dates back to 1984, when Mr.  Janusz Jankiewicz, a graduate of the Department of Mechanics of the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology, as a consequence of family hobby, launched production of aquarium accessories in Warsaw. Originally, the seat of the enterprise was located at ul. Hołubcowa 51c. The first products were diaphragm pumps. The first series were hand-assembled on an ordinary kitchen table. Because they enjoyed great demand, the firm grew constantly, acquiring both modern machinery and qualified personnel. In late 1980s there were already ca. 30 employees. At the beginning of the following decade, AQUAEL's offer was expanded with internal turbine filters of the FAT series, being precursors of later lines of these devices. These were soon joined by PF pumps for garden ponds. In 1995, the constantly growing firm changed its principal place of business, moving to 50 Krasnowolska street, where it has been located to date. Expanding the production scope, work was then started on production of aquarium heaters. Manufacturing gathered momentum after some of the production was moved to a newly opened facility in Suwałki, equipped with modern technological lines. Since that time the plant has been expanded three times, and the range of AQUAEL products has been growing constantly. We marketed new series of internal filters, cascade filters, and mini-pond filters. The latest achievements of the firm include development and launching production of innovative external canister filters of the UNIMAX series, and microprocessor temperature controllers. Excellent standing of the firm is confirmed by the fact of acquisition in 2004 of the German firm BIOPLAST. This latter move has resulted in further enrichment of our offer with, inter alia, exclusive series of aquarium sets. Meeting expectations of our customers, in 2005 AQUAEL also began production of high class foods for aquarium fish, which owing to many years of experience of their producers  match the quality of products of renowned Western manufacturers. Due to modern technology and high qualifications of our employees, AQUAEL is always enhancing the level of its products, seeking new solutions and developing new products, so as to meet the demands of its customers in the best possible way.

1995 - removal of the principal place of business to Krasnowolska street
1998 - opening of a manufacturing plant in Suwałki
2000 - expansion of the plant in Suwałki
2002 - opening in Suwałki of a new production hall of an area of 5500 m2
2004 - purchase of the German firm BIOPLAST
2005 - commencement of production of foods for aquarium fish
2005 - subsequent expansion increasing the manufacturing plant in Suwałki by another 5500 m2
