The first international zoological fair since the beginning of the pandemic – Zoomark 2021 – was held in Bologna from November 10-12, 2021. Among the exhibitors, AQUAEL, which in Bologna focused on aquaristics in its fundamentals, was not to be missed. Proximity to nature and the pleasure of communing with beauty were the greatest assets of the booth.
The aquarium arrangements were made by leading Polish aquascapers Pawel Mielniczek, Aquaman, Michal Adamek and Janusz Kosik. The latter two, along with aquarium youtuber Przemek Wilk, took care of the AQUAEL aquariums at the fair, all brought straight from Poland.
The aquarium that caught the eye and those willing to make an immediate purchase was the classic Opti Set aquarium set with a bonsai-type arrangement. The Shrimp Set Day & Night shrimp tank was displayed next to it.
Making its international premiere at Zoomark was the UltraScape Set, designed in cooperation with Michal Adamek, an opti glass set designed for aquascapers. Also presented for the first time was the OptiBent aquarium with bent edges on the front, made of opti glass.
A lot of attention at the AQUAEL booth was attracted by the Opti Tank line – dedicated to aquarists who pay attention to detail. A modern AquaTerrarium for small turtles was also an interesting feature.
Precision electronic heaters, including a novelty – Platinium 500W, as well as the Flow and Ultra Heater lines attracted interest. Bestsellers were also presented: the Ultra and Ultramax range of bucket filters, aerators, Leddy Slim, Leddy Slim Link, Leddy Tube and Leddy Smart lamps and light bars.
The booth was also co-founded by some of Comfy – AQUAEL’s own brand of products for dogs, cats and other quadrupeds, largely designed and manufactured in Poland.
AQUAEL was represented by the company’s founders and owners – Bogumiła and Janusz Jankiewicz, marketing employees – Diana Jankiewicz-Kołodyńska, Anna Kubicka, Marta Kowalska, and members of the export department – Paweł Rożek, Magdalena Szuter and Mateusz Falkus.
