The importance of internal filters in aquaristics
Internal filters such as the AQUAEL Neo Bio 1000 play a key role in maintaining a healthy aquarium ecosystem by ensuring clean water and proper physicochemical parameters. Their compact design, easy installation and the ability to use a variety of filtration media make them an ideal choice for nano and medium-sized aquariums.
These filters are especially appreciated by aquarists who value simple maintenance and efficient mechanical, biological and chemical filtration. In combination with replaceable filter pouches, servicing becomes extremely easy while maintaining excellent filtration performance.
Advanced filtration for medium and large aquariums
AQUAEL Neo Bio 1000 is a modern internal filter whose shape allows it to fit precisely into the corner of the aquarium. This saves space and optimizes the volume of filtration media. The flow rate of 1000 L/h with adjustable output makes it suitable for both smaller tanks and larger aquariums above 200 L.
A noteworthy feature is the use of biological media combined with ready-to-use, replaceable cartridges. Out of the box, the filter is equipped with two CarboMAX inserts containing activated carbon, two polypropylene filter pads and a container with biological media – thanks to this, the filter provides comprehensive mechanical, biological and chemical filtration.
Corner design and robust construction
The corner shape of the filter fits the aquarium walls perfectly, maximizing the filtration surface while minimizing the space occupied inside the tank.
A sturdy corner frame with four strong suction cups ensures easy and stable mounting in the aquarium corner, and a flat handle makes it easy to remove the filter during maintenance. The position of the suction cups can be chosen according to user preference.
The coarse sponge protects shrimp and small fish by trapping larger debris before it reaches the inner compartments of the filter.
Efficient filtration media
The filter includes two CarboMAX cartridges with activated carbon that remove chemical impurities and discoloration, as well as two polypropylene filter pads (Standard Wool) for fine mechanical filtration. The NatureMAX biological media support the growth of nitrifying bacteria, eliminating ammonia and nitrites. Dedicated media can be replaced with other options such as BioCeraMAX or ZeoMAX Plus, allowing you to tailor filtration to the needs of your aquarium.
The use of loose biological media provides a large surface area for nitrifying bacteria, whose presence in the aquarium is crucial for maintaining proper biological balance.
Wide-jet nozzle and flow adjustment
The set includes a 180-degree wide-jet nozzle that provides a gentle current and better oxygenation of the water. It can be replaced with a directional nozzle that allows 360-degree outflow adjustment. A precise flow regulator lets you adapt the filter’s performance to the requirements of the aquarium, ensuring optimal conditions for fish and plants.

Use and benefits of the Neo Bio 1000 filter
Neo Bio 1000 is ideal for aquariums with delicate inhabitants such as shrimp and small fish, thanks to the coarse sponge that prevents animals from being drawn into the filter. The modular design allows expansion by adding additional filter containers, increasing both the filtration surface and volume. The filter provides crystal-clear water, a healthy environment and easy day-to-day operation.
Additional modules
The Neo Bio 1000 filter can be expanded with 1, 2 or even 3 additional filtration modules. This increases the effective filtration surface and makes better use of available space. Each additional module can be very easily connected to the top part of the filter. It contains two containers with biological media and two pouches with ready-to-use cartridges.
Additional modules for the Neo Bio 1000 filter must be purchased separately (they are not included in the basic set).

The NEO BIO 1000 filter can be expanded by connecting additional modules in series, depending on your needs, adapting it to the size of your aquarium. To expand the filter, remove the cap from the bottom of the filter module and then attach an additional module.
