Water pumped through the UV AS LAMP 3W LED flows in a thin layer through the device’s chamber, where it is exposed to UV-C radiation emitted by the LED diodes. This radiation destroys algae, bacteria, and other harmful organisms without negatively affecting fish, plants, or beneficial nitrifying bacteria. Thanks to the action of the UV AS LAMP 3W LED, the water in the aquarium remains clean and clear, and the fish and plants live in a comfortable and healthy environment.
We recommend installing the device in external filters on the outlet hose. The filtered water is then the clearest, which increases the effectiveness of the UV radiation. The device can be installed in any pumps and filtration systems using 16/22 mm (0.63/0.86 inch) hose fittings.
Water resistance
UV AS LAMP 3W LED is highly versatile – it can be used both outside and inside the aquarium. The first “dry” installation method involves placing it outside the tank, e.g., on filtration hoses. This allows it to be used in combination with external filters such as Multikani or the Ultra canister filter. The second method involves full submersion in water, provided the filtration system allows for it. Direct mounting on the filter is a very convenient and space-saving way to install the sterilizer.
The sterilizer is marked with IPX8, meaning it is completely waterproof. There is no risk that submersion in water will damage the sterilizer. Thanks to its separate power source, the sterilizer can be safely disconnected when not in use, without needing to disconnect or dismantle the entire filter. A timer switch (not included!) can also be used and set for the desired sterilization time.
For small and medium-sized aquariums
