Hypermax BT Thermo provides crystal-clear water and stable conditions for the development of fish and plants. The huge 31 L filter volume and as much as 16 L of space for filter media make the device ideal for large aquariums – from 200 to 1,500 L.
High filtration efficiency is ensured by a modern, energy-saving motor with a maximum output of 4,500 L/h (2,400 L/h with media). Even at the highest speed, power consumption does not exceed 36 W, and programmable pump operation lets you adjust filtration intensity to the needs of a specific tank.
Hypermax BT Thermo runs quietly – from 24 to 44 dB – making it an excellent choice for rooms where acoustic comfort matters.

The key distinguishing feature of Hypermax BT Thermo is its two built-in electronic heaters with a combined power of 300 W. They make it possible to maintain the right water temperature without installing additional heaters inside the aquarium.
The heaters operate in the range of 20-33°C, allowing the temperature to be conveniently adjusted to the requirements of fish, plants, and the entire ecosystem. This is a practical and aesthetic solution – less equipment in the tank means greater design freedom and a more natural-looking aquarium.

Filter operation is intuitive — either via the touchscreen located on the device head or remotely through the Aquael BT App. You can adjust the water flow, check the temperature and conveniently manage the device from your phone.
Full control of filter and heating operation in the Aquael BT App
The Aquael BT App is one of the ways to control the operation of the Hypermax BT Thermo filter. It offers a wide range of options and makes everyday use more convenient — without the need to open the cabinet or pull out the filter! In the app, you can continuously monitor the filter’s operating parameters, check the current temperature or secure the settings with a PIN lock to protect them from accidental changes.

Hypermax BT Thermo offers four flow modes:
This allows you to tailor the water circulation to the needs of your aquarium — from calm, even flow to more dynamic water movement. The duration of individual sequences can also be precisely adjusted as a percentage, creating countless combinations. You can also define the wave period — from 1 to 60 seconds.
This solution makes it possible to better replicate the natural conditions of the aquatic environment and create conditions precisely tailored to the specific tank and its inhabitants.
Advanced feeding functions
Hypermax BT Thermo is equipped with an adjustable feeding schedule. When activated, the filter automatically reduces its output, so the food is not immediately dispersed by a strong water current. Up to four feeding times can be set during the day.
The Day&Night function allows you to set lower flow rates and temperature at night, so that the conditions in the aquarium more closely replicate the natural rhythm of day and night. Changes are gradual and smooth, with no sudden jumps, which helps reduce stress on the fish.
At dusk, the water temperature in open waters drops and wave movement decreases — the night mode in the Hypermax BT Thermo filter helps bring the conditions in the aquarium closer to those known from nature.

Heating built into the filter
Built-in heating eliminates the need to install heaters directly in the aquarium. This keeps the inside of the tank clearer, more aesthetic and better organised, allowing the underwater arrangement to be admired without distracting technical elements. This is especially important in large decorative, planted and open aquariums, where every technical element affects the final visual effect.
The day and night temperatures can be set in the app, where you can also check the current water temperature. The heating history can be viewed in a clear graph.

Double ball valve system
During filter maintenance, one of the most important steps is safely disconnecting the hoses. Hypermax BT Thermo uses a double ball valve system, which reduces the risk of uncontrolled water leakage. This solution increases user comfort and allows the filter to be cleaned without stress and without mess around the aquarium.
Automatic filter priming
Starting the filter is quick and easy. The automatic priming system allows the device to be easily filled with aquarium water, without the need to manually draw in water. It is one of the features that truly makes everyday use of a large canister filter easier.
Easy canister movement
Integrated wheels make it easier to move the filter, even when it is already filled with water and media. This is a practical improvement that you will appreciate during installation, maintenance and cleaning of the device.
Prefilter
The 1.5 l prefilter built into the lid effectively captures larger particles before they reach the main filter baskets. As a result, the filter can operate for longer without the need for complete cleaning.
Cleaning the prefilter is quick and convenient — simply remove the sponge, rinse it under running water and place it back into the device.

High flexibility in filter media configuration
Hypermax BT Thermo has 4 filter baskets, each with a capacity of 3.6 l. As standard, the filter is equipped with mechanical media, while the remaining baskets can be filled according to the needs of a specific aquarium.
The user has a vast space available for biological, chemical or specialised filter media. This allows the filtration setup to be adapted both to a planted aquarium and to a tank with a large fish stock.
A set of accessories necessary to install and start the filter included:
