FZN PRO is another idea for a cascade filter in Aquael’s portfolio. It will be ideal for different types of tanks, both in nanoaquaria or shrimp tanks, as well as in larger ones, even 300-liter ones. A great choice for small marine tanks, where the cascading water drop creates a natural wave, imitating the movement of the sea.

A filter tailored to you

We have taken care of a number of conveniences that will make using the FZN PRO filter a pleasure.

Don’t like waiting for the filter to start at full power? With the FZN PRO, you won’t have this problem. Thanks to the placement of the motor under the water, the filter, once plugged in, immediately starts working, without the need for prior priming.

Worried that in the event of a power cut, your filter won’t start when the power is turned on? The FZN PRO will start working right away and will clean the water in your tank immediately. Thanks to the safe placement of the motor under the water, even prolonged power outages will not be a surprise for this filter.

Telescopically adjustable (depending on the model) intake tube allows you to precisely adjust the length to suit your tank. Adjust the water intake location to the height of the ground in your tank. This will work especially well for unusual aquarium sizes.

Adjust the performance of the filter as you see fit and need. We placed a large, convenient adjustment knob on the top of the housing. It allows you to smoothly adjust the strength at which the filter works. Perfectly match the position of the filter to your tank. This will be taken care of by a convenient round regulator, with which you can precisely set the appropriate level of water spout. Despite the large volume of the filter media container, the housing is slim and does not take up much space. The housing outside the tank is only 7.5 to 9.5 cm thick (depending on the model).

Quiet as a whisper

Aquael designers made sure that the FZN PRO filter operates as quietly as possible. The sound generated by the largest filter in the family is only 32 dB – as quiet as a whisper. Thoughtful design ensures maximum suppression of any noise. This is because the filter outlet is flush with the sheet, so that the outflowing water produces an ear-pleasing murmur. Forget about bubbling or loud overflowing of water. The motor is placed under the water. This gives natural sound insulation, through the soundproofing effect of the water.

All elements of the contact between the housing and the glass are protected by rubber. This lowers the vibration of the working device and eliminates possible knocking or bumping of the filter housing.

Linear holes have been added to the top of the housing. This reduces the resonant tube effect inside the unit. At the same time, gas exchange is improved.

Don’t want to spend a lot of time handling your aquarium? Take advantage of the simplicity offered by ready-made filter cartridges. In one motion, you will remove the basket* with dedicated cartridges and clean or replace them. Depending on the model of the filter there will be from 1 to 6 openwork trays for filter cartridges: FZN PRO 400 – 1 cardridge; FZN PRO 700 – 2 cardridges; FZN PRO 1000 – 4 cardridges; FZN PRO 1500 – 6 cardridges.

You open the reservoirs and put inside the sachets with the filter media of your choice. You can choose from 3 types of carefully formulated, replaceable cartridges:Media Pack Standard, which provides effective filtration; Media Pack Carbomax, which takes care of crystal clear water; Media Pack Phosmax, which reduces the growth of algae.

You can complete the filtration with filter sponges specially matched to the filter’s dimensions. You can choose sponges for the main tray of the FZN PRO 700, 1000 and 1500 models, as well as a prefilter sponge cartridge.

Safety first

We created the FZN PRO filter entirely from non-corrosive elements, so safe and long-lasting. Whether you have a freshwater aquarium or a taste for saltwater tanks, the FZN PRO filter will be an excellent choice.

Some users are concerned about accidental unsealing of water supply hoses to a filter placed outside the aquarium, although the risk is minimal. The FZN PRO filter completely eliminates such a possibility. Thanks to the suspension of the filter on the edge of the aquarium, the water has no chance to escape outside the tank. The energy-efficient motor needs minimal power consumption. The largest filter in the family FZN PRO 1500 operates at only 13 W. Your finances are also safe.

Crystal clear surface

If your aquarium requires it, the filter can be supplemented with a matching skimmer*. It will effectively filter the water surface for a crystal sheet effect. The skimmer cleans the surface from dust particles, organic sediment or plant debris after pruning, which will be especially appreciated by open-tank enthusiasts and aquascapers.

Skimmer does not require additional power supply. All you need to do is mount it on the intake tube. It has a stepless adjustment, so that its surface part will always be at the right height. If you do not need the skimmer, disconnect it without losing the functionality of the filter’s operation.

Doubtful that a permanently attached skimmer will collect food before the fish have time to eat it? The skimmer at the FZN PRO filter does not need to be removed, for example, at feeding time. Just turn its upper part so that it is above the water level. This will make the device cease to perform its function. At any time you want, lower the upper part so that the device starts collecting sediment again.

Easy cleaning and service

From now on, you will enjoy scheduling aquarium cleaning. With one twist of the motor closure, you will get to the impeller. You will easily perform service or cleaning of the impeller from lingering deposits. The same goes for the filter sponge.

Thanks to the specially fitted basket*, you will remove all filter trays in one motion, rinse or replace them with new ones and place them back in the chamber. You’ll have your hands free, because the housing lid won’t get in your way. It opens effortlessly, plus you can conveniently rest it on the back of the tray.

The capacious tray of the filter gives you freedom of use. You can fill part of it with properly cut, selected sponge and loose media, layering them as you wish. Fill the remaining area with cartridges, which, thanks to convenient plastic covers, you can pull out in one movement. In the cartridges you can use, for example, a charcoal filter, which after a period of absorption you will simply remove, without disturbing the remaining substances. Choose the filter media that suits your needs.
